Columbus, Indiana DB Steve Brown called GoBlueWolverine Tuesday noon and said:
"I called Coach Carr up yesterday, and he offered me a scholarship."
So you had told us you grew up watching Michigan. How did it feel to get an offer from them.
"It was exciting! Coach Carr said they liked me at the combine Saturday and that they had studied my film. And that he wanted me to play for Michigan and was offering me a scholarship."
"I talked to Coach English (Michigan's DB coach) as well. He said he wanted me to come to the Michigan Camp this summer and be coached by him."
What other offers have you gotten coming out of the combine?
"Northern Illinois sent me an offer in the mail yesterday."
"And I'm calling Notre Dame tonight -- they've told my coach they will be offering me at that time as well."
Will you talk again about your leaders?
"Well Michigan is right up there as one of my top schools, in my top two or three. But I'm not naming a favorite right now."
Have you decided on any summer camps?
"To be honest, I haven't decided on my summer plans yet. This is all happening fast. We'll have to talk about it."
Note: see also a GBW interview earlier this morning with Brown's father.
