Top Visitor Today; June Visits Abound

The Michigan football program is getting an unofficial visit from one of their top recruits today. And, besides Michigan Campers, there is a growing number of June visitors coming to Ann Arbor as well, including a number of the top recruits in the country.

Note: the rankings are Jim S' Updated late May position rankings.

Visiting Michigan today: Jim S' 8 DB, Darrin Walls DB 6'1 185 (4.6 at the PSU Nike Camp) from Pittsburgh Woodland Hills (alma mater of Steve Breaston and Ryan Mundy). Walls goes on to Notre Dame, U-M's main competition, tomorrow. After numerous spring contacts from ND Head Coach Weiss, Walls is currently planning to camp at ND but NOT at U-M; we'll see if today's visit changes that.

Other top planned June visitors:

June 10 (give or take a day): 2 Mitch Mustain QB 6'3 200 4.72 Springdale Arkansas. Mustain is at Texas right now -- we'll see if he commits there.

June 11 (give or take a day): 6 Nate Byhem TE/DL 6'4ha 220 4.65 Murrysville Franklin Regional Pennsylvania. Michigan's short list of TE recruits has grown recently.

June 17-18: 1 Sam Young OL 6'7 295 5.00 Fort Lauderdale St. Thomas Aquinas. Young would be U-M's top OL 'get' in 3-4 years.

June 26-27: 2 Taylor Mays DB 6'3 210 4.50 Seattle O'Dea Washington. And amazingly athletic big DB ... U-M is the one school that may be able to wrestle him away from USC.

Also visiting in June: 4 Dorin Dickerson WR/LB/RB 6'1 195 4.50 Imperial West Allegheny Pennsylvania.

On top of this list, don't forget U-M's impressive slate of planned campers, including DB A.J. Wallace, DE Jermaine Cunningham, WR Chris Slaughter and QB Neil Caudle. Click HERE for GBW's preliminary list of top planned campers.
