Taylor Mays to Visit U-M, Then Make His Decision

One of the top prospects in the country resides on the West Coast, and he will be making a trip to the Midwest to check out one, and possibly two schools in his top five. GoBlueWolverine.com spoke with safety Taylor Mays of O'Dea High School in Seattle about the upcoming trip, and when he will decide.

Reporting over 50 written offers from programs all over the country, safety Taylor Mays of O'Dea High School in Seattle has his pick of the lot as far as college destinations go. "My top five are Michigan, Washington, USC, Notre Dame and Cal-Berkeley," Mays said. "I'm going back to Michigan on the 25th, I'll leave the Sunday before and come back probably on Tuesday. I might also visit Notre Dame."

The 6-foot-3, 220-pound Mays said he has never been to Michigan or Notre Dame, so it is impossible at this time to state whether any school in his top five stands out. Once he returns, he said he intends to make quick work of his decision. "I want it done before the season," he said. "I'm not graduating early or anything, I just want to get it done. If for some reason I can't decide I will take a couple of official visits during the season. Otherwise I'll probably only take an official to the school I pick."

Mays is the No. 2 safety in the country according to Scout.com, and the No. 15 player overall.
