Updating Summer Recruiting: Decisions Coming

Two of the nation's Top Ten high school football players are making their decisions in the next couple weeks -- and one is visiting Michigan just prior. At least two more of U-M's top recruits may make summer announcements as well. Here is all the latest on the Wolverine late-summer recruiting scene.

(Rankings in parenthese are by Jim S, by position)

Visiting July 25-26, then announcing soon after: (2) Taylor Mays S 6'3 210 4.40 Seattle O'Dea Washington. Scout.com's #15 prospect. U-M, USC and Washington seem to be his finalists.

Early August Decision: (1) Myron Rolle S/CB 6'2 210 4.53 Princeton The Hun School New Jersey. Scout.com's #1 prospect. His finalists: U-M, Oklahoma, the three Florida schools and PSU.

Possible summer decision: Camper (30) Cobrani Mixon ILB 6'2 220 4.60 Cincinnati Colerain Ohio. Scout.com's #84 prospect. This one should go U-M's way, but Cobrani has slowed down his decision timetable.

Possible summer decision: (11) Steve Brown S/CB 6'1 200 4.39 Columbus East Indiana. Scout.com's #92 prospect.

Possibly visiting in late July: (41) Jim Barrie OL 6'5 295 5.10 Tampa Berkeley Prep Florida. His sister attended U-M, and his parents are from Grand Rapids, Mich. FSU and U-M are his top 2, currently followed by Nebraska, Oklahoma, LSU, South Carolina.

Possibly visiting in late July; August decision: (2) Mitch Mustain QB 6'3 200 4.72 Springdale Arkansas. Scout.com's #14 prospect. He is expected to visit U-M after the Elite 11, and he should decide soon after, between Arkansas, Texas, U-M and possibly others.

July 30 Recruiting Day Visitors:
--- (32) Marcus Anthony DE/OLB 6'3 240 4.70 Richmond Patrick Henry Virginia.
--- not attending: (9) DeMarco Murray RB/DB 6'0 185 4.49 Las Vegas Bishop Gorman Nevada. Scout.com's #40 prospect.
