Elite 11: Tim Tebow and Ryan Mallett

Jacksonville Florida Quarterback Tim Tebow has planned his second visit to Michigan. And Texarkana Rising Junior Ryan Mallett shared something of interest as well.

GoBlueWolverine sat with Mrs. Tebow for 2 hours at the Elite 11 Tuesday. We had a great chat and she was quite open -- mostly off the record.

On the record she said to us:
-- Tim will take his official visit to Michigan for the Ohio State game.
-- Coach Loeffler has done a quarterback coaching clinic at Tim's school.
-- Tim is still looking at the same 6-7 schools as before, and any notion from 'experts' that Tim and Florida have cooled on each other -- NOT true whatsoever. Florida will also get an official visit from Tim.

Meanwhile, rising junior QB Ryan Mallett was one of the three junior 'ball boys' at the Elite 11 camp -- meaning he got to throw with the rest of the guys. Mallett may be a class younger than the others, but -- perhaps besides fellow Texan Matt Stafford -- is the 'class of the camp'. Besides being by far the biggest QB in attendance, Mallett's arm, as we noted from our U-M Camp coverage, is other-worldly -- no one else here can come close to matching it. Staford matches up with Mallett overall because, being a year older, he has more polish. And this is of interest to U-M fans -- Mallett told us that he is calling U-M quarterbacks coach Scot Loeffler often, multiple times a week, and that he has called him from the Elite 11 to chat about how he is doing, etc.
