Thaddeus Gibson Profile
Ohio linebacker Thaddeus Gibson (6-3, 205, 4.5) still denies a leader but remains sold on his top four schools.
"I'm still really into Ohio State, Miami, Iowa and Michigan," said Gibson, from Euclid High School.
"I haven't set up any official visits yet, but I was talking with my coach about all that a little bit ago and I'm going to try and get some of those dates rolling soon," he said.
"Iowa is recruiting me the hardest right now. I get hand written letters from coach (Kirk) Ferentz everyday. I also hear a lot about them from one of my coaches who is really familiar with their program. Other than that, I don't know too much else about them…I'm really just going off what my coach is telling me at this point.
"My friend Brandon Smith (linebacker) goes to Ohio State and I've been able to talk with him about their program and stuff. He's told me that he and the coaches have talked about me and are coming up with a good plan for me to play there if I end up deciding to go with Ohio State. My relationship with Brandon won't really play a factor in this decision though," he said.
"Miami hasn't offered me yet and I really don't know why. The coaches there want me to set up an official visit with them, so they might end up offering if I were to go down there for an official…who knows?" he said.
"Coach (Scot) Loeffler (quarterbacks) of Michigan is a real great guy. He always sends me a lot of text messages. I took an unofficial visit there over the summer and had a great time. I liked the campus there a lot."
2.5 GPA/September second-time SAT--needs to improve score.
