Jonas Mouton Taking Things Step-by-Step

"I'm not even sure if I'll take any more official visits. I'm not sure," says Los Angeles safety Jonas Mouton after his Michigan official visit this past weekend.

Jonas Mouton Profile

Los Angeles safety Jonas Mouton (6-2, 208, 4.6) just returned today (9/12) from his official visit to Michigan.

"I liked my trip a lot," said Mouton, from Venice High School. "The whole thing was just fun. Nothing really stood out. My host was Chris Richards (cornerback) and I went alone. After the game, we went back to the hotel and hung-out and played some video games. On Sunday, we focused on looking at the facilities and on academics.

"I did not come close to orally committing. We didn't even really talk about it. I might not commit anywhere until close to Letter-of-Intent Day. It'll just be a step-by-step process for me. But I'm tired right now. I just got back and these trips take a toll. So does all the calling," he said.

"I'm not even sure if I'll take any more official visits. I'm not sure." Mouton has also officially visited Nebraska (9/2).

"I would say my top four schools are Nebraska, Michigan, USC and LSU. I don't know who is in the lead. If I could tell you, I would. But I can't," he said.

"All these schools want me for free or strong safety. I like strong more because that's where I have the most experience."

One game (1-0; over Carson 35-14) stats: six tackles/two knockdowns; one 33 yard reception for a score. Venice plays always dangerous L.A. Loyola this Friday (9/17).
