He visited Michigan Sept. 9-11 and concluded his weekend visit to USC Sunday night.
The USC visit began on Friday and the Trojans arranged for some major players to host him?
"Leinart was one of the first to host me," said Perez. "I was also with Reggie Bush and Dwayne Jarrett on Friday. They were my first hosts. Over the weekend I was with Will Harris (safety). I really just went out to eat and hung with the players—stuff like that. He (Bush) was pretty cool. If you didn't know who he was, you wouldn't know he was one of the best football players in the country. He's a better person than he is football player."
What impressed Perez about USC?
"I like the fact that everything is going right with the players getting along so well, and the way they play and practice with such high intensity," Perez said. "Overall, I like the coaches a lot. They know when to get serious, but the like to play around too. Everyone seems like their having a great time. They work hard, but enjoy themselves too.
"From the academic standpoint, everything seems to be running real smooth. I like the fact USC is a private institution and know I'll be provided good academics."
The USC and Michigan coaches worked their tails off to sway Perez, and he said there's only one major difference between the two schools.
"USC has more of a city type atmosphere and Michigan is like the suburbs," said Perez. "I like both schools; I can't go wrong with either school. It's going to be a tough decision to make."
