Top U-M DB Recruit Named Army All American

The U.S. Army All American selection process has begun. And, as media sponsor, wil be there every step of the way!This (Tuesday) morning the Army pulls up to a high school in the Pittsburgh suburbs to honor a top Michigan defensive back recruit as an Army All American. Stay tuned -- yet another stop at the school of a top Michigan recruit happens later this week!

- Cornerback Darrin Walls (6'-1, 185, 4.37) from Pittsburgh Woodland Hills, Pennsylvania,'s #78 prospect, is being honored as a U.S. Army All American at a ceremony at his school this (Tuesday) morning.

Walls is one of 37 top high players east of the Mississippi who will be named to the East Squad.

As far as Walls' recruiting goes, this one is mainly a Michigan/Notre Dame battle. Walls made an official visit (to Pitt) for the Pitt/Notre Dame game, and to Michigan for the U-M/ND game. He will make his official visit to Notre Dame for the Oct. 14 ND/USC game, and then will announce his decision soon after.

He also visited Florida this past weekend for the Tennessee game.

Woodland Hills is the alma mater of Michigan players Steve Breaston and Ryan Mundy.
