Has Michigan offered Indiana D-Tackle?

This is the time of year where, after vewing Sept. film of potential recruits, Michigan will likely be making more scholarship offers. Dexter Larimore is a quick defensive lineman (6-3, 280, 4.8) from Marriville, Indiana, who attended the Michigan Camp this past June. Has he now received a U-M offer?

From Chris Pool of Scout.com:

Dexter Larimore Profile

Dexter Larimore, the No. 70 prospect, in the Midwest, according to Scout.com, has been offered a scholarship by the University of Michigan.

The 6-foot-3, 265-pounder, from Merrillville, Ind., received the Wolverine scholarship offer via telephone last night from Coach Lloyd Carr.

Larimore's stock is on the rise, Ohio State offered Dexter a scholarship a little over a week ago. Illinois, Indiana and several others have offered as well.

Larimore is strictly playing defense in '05 but we believe Dexter could play either defensive tackle or offensive guard or center at the next level.

Larimore is also one of the nation's top heavyweight wrestlers in the country. You can view video of Dexter in action on the football field as well as the wrestling mat by checking out his player page.
