Percy Harvin Profile

Virginia Beach (Va.) wide receiver Percy Harvin (6-1, 182, 4.35) has a sister, Lintera, who is a junior at Michigan. According to Linda Harvin, Percy's mother, this could bode well for the Wolverines.

"Lintera would really like Percy to go to Michigan," Mrs. Harvin said. "She was worried about the cold when she first went to Michigan, but it hasn't turned out to be a problem. She really likes it there and is doing great.

"But Percy always talks about wanting to be in warmer weather. I would probably say that Florida and USC stand out for him. But I think he's waiting to see all the schools before he decides.

"He has only visited Florida so far," she said. "My fiance, myself and Percy went there for the Tennessee game (9/17). I really liked the school and the game. Overall, I had a real nice time there. But Percy won't use what I want as a factor. I'm perfectly fine with him going anywhere he decides, and if that's all the way to California, that's fine too.

"He's going to visit Miami on October 22 (Georgia Tech game), USC on October 29 (Washington State) and Michigan on November 19 (Ohio State). He'll also set one more trip, maybe to Florida State, and I'll be going on all his visits with him.

"You've got to understand that Percy changes his mind a lot," she added. "So, I'm not really sure how he'll feel tomorrow. I'm afraid to say anything because I think he'll switch his mind on me at the last minute. So, I'm not really sure that Florida and USC lead, or not."

Percy Harvin is ranked by SuperPrep magazine as the nation's No. 1 wide receiver, and the nation's best prospect, regardless of position.
