Sam Young Named Army AA, Talks Recruiting

The U.S. Army All-American Bowl selection tour is making its way through the Sunshine State, and what better place to begin than St. Thomas Acquinas High School in Fort Lauderdale. Offensive lineman teammates Sam Young and Dan Wenger were both selected to participate in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl Tuesday, and Scout.com and ScoutTV were there to bring you interviews with both All-Americans.

Sam Young Profile

Sam Young is the #1 ranked prospect in the state of Florida, and Dan Wenger is quite possibly the #1 Center in the country. Both players were selected to the U.S. Army All-American Bowl this morning in a press conference at St. Thomas Acquinas.

Young and Wenger are two parts of the top offensive line in the country with the third Marcus Gilbert anchoring the right tackle spot. Young will likely start on the East squad at left tackle, and Wenger will be a welcome addition to the East squad which didn't have a true center last year.

Young has the size, frame, footwork and technique to be a left tackle for the next twenty years. He has grown to 6-7 and 302 pounds, and he talks about being an All-American and the recruiting process in this interview presented by ScoutTV.

Wenger is the top Center in the south. At roughly 6-4 and 285 pounds, he has the ability to step in and play early on the next level. He took an official visit to Purdue recently, and he talks about being an All-American and the recruiting process as well.
