Brian Lebler Pledges to Michigan

On Monday, the University of Michigan received its fourth verbal commitment for the class of 2006 when Brian Lebler made his decision official. Lebler joins a class that includes defensemen Chris Summers and Steve Kampfer and goalie Steve Jakiel to likely complete the Wolverines class of 2006.

According to the Madison, Wisc., Capitol Times, Lebler, a 6-foot-2, 205 pound forward currently playing in the British Columbia Hockey League, pledged to Michigan on Monday over the Wisconsin Badgers, a school for whom Lebler's father, Ed, played for from 1978-1981.

"It was more of a gut feeling sort of thing," said Brian Lebler, who also considered Ohio State. "Both places were going to be an unreal place to play. It was more like I felt more comfortable (at Michigan) with the team and the coaches and stuff like that. I felt like it was my place to play."
