-- Tim Tebow QB 6'3 225 4.61 (38 bench press reps at Talahassee Nike) Jacksonville Nease Florida. Will his U-M official visit change anything? Scout.com's #35 prospect has now made official visits now to U-M, Alabama (Oct. 15) and LSU (Nov. 4) and still has Florida (this weekend, Nov. 25) and USC (Dec. 2) to go. The Southern schools still seem to have the best shot -- especially Florida where his parents are alumni. He visited U-M in the fall of '04 for the Northwestern game. He will announce on December 14th on ESPN television.
-- Carlos Brown RB 6'0 195 4.55 Franklin Heard Georgia. He was very impressed with his Nov. 18 Michigan official visit. He has also made an official to FSU (Nov. 4) but said the U-M visit was better. He also visits South Carolilna (Dec. 2) and Georgia (Dec. 9). He graduates in December. He is Scout.com's #24 South prospect.
-- visit cancelled -- Percy Harvin WR 5'11 182 4.34 Virginia Beach Landstown Virginia. Scout.com's #7 prospect. He suffered an injury Friday, Nov. 18 and cancelled his Nov. 19 U-M official visit. He has already made official visits to Florida (Sept. 16, co-leader), and USC (Oct. 28, co-leader), and has one scheduled to Miami (Dec. 17) … whether he'll reschedule U-M is possible but uncertain. U-M's 'hook': Harvin's sister attends Eastern Michigan University. He will make a decision before Christmas.
-- Michigan commitment #8: Greg Mathews WR 6'4 185 Orlando Edgewater Florida. Despite his mother being the daughter of a retired OSU professor, Mathews, with his mom present, committed to U-M at his Nov. 18 official visit. He is a pure tough-guy, over-the-middle receiver with good size. He was a four-day U-M Camper this summer.
-- Dominique Douglas 6'1 185 Detroit Murray-Wright. After a great senior season he may receive a U-M offer, although he did not at his Nov. 19 U-M unofficiali visit. -- U-M Commitment #2: (6) Justin Boren OL 6'3 319 5.20 Pickerington North Ohio. Scout.com's #28 prospect. Dec. 2 official visit. Justin's father, Mike, was a starting linebacker at Michigan in the 1980's. Justin is much bigger than his dad. One of the nation's elite OL's. After OSU got an early lead for him, U-M closed the gap starting with the Feb. 20 Junior Day - and Justin committed to U-M on May 13.
-- Jim Barrie OL 6'5 295 5.10 Tampa Berkeley Prep Florida. He had a great Nov. 18 official visit, hanging with 'the gang' of David Moosman, Mark Ortmann, Cory Zirbel. U-M and FSU (visiting the Dec. 9 weekend) are the likely favorites, with Florida (this weekend, Nov. 25) now strongly in the mix as well. He has also made officials to Tennessee (Oct. 27) and Notre Dame (Nov. 5). He plans to decide by Christmas. The underrated Barrie's parents are from Grand Rapids Mich. and his sister attended U-M. Jim made a late July unofficial visit to Ann Arbor He has a 3.7 GPA.
-- Dexter Larimore DT 6'2 270 4.9 Merriville Indiana. After his official U-M visit he is down to U-M (Nov. 11 official visit) and OSU (Dec. 2). He attended the U-M/OSU game the Nov. 19 weekend. He grew up a U-M fan (although OSU is definitely very serious competition for him, and might in-fact lead … s ome see this going one way, some see it going the other ...), and he made U-M unofficial visits for the Notre Dame and Minnesota games. He also made an official visit to Indiana, and made wrestling official visits to MSU and Iowa State. He also has football offers from Purdue and Illinois. He got his big-time football offers in late September. He camped at U-M this past summer as well as attending the late July Junior Day and the ND game. As wrestler, he made the state finals in the heavyweight division as a sophomore. He is underrated as the Scout.com #70 Midwest prospect. According to USA Wrestling, Dexter Larimore is the #1 prep heavyweight wrestler in the nation.

-- McKenzie Mathews DE 6'2 240, Christian Brothers Academy, Syracuse, N.Y. He had scheduled an OSU game official visit, but is still playing. He has made official visits to Pitt (Sept. 3) and one to Ohio State (Oct. 14). His third and last visit may be to U-M Nov. 18 (for OSU game), or he may pick between Pitt and OSU. He is a friend of Wolverine RB Mike Hart. He is Scout.com's #36 East prospect. Christian Brothers is coming off a perfect 2004 season, outscoring opponents 611 - 197. Mathews recorded 45 tackles, including 10 for loss, and 12.5 sacks, during the championship season. He would like to major in accounting.
-- Visit Cancelled:Micah Johnson DL/LB 6'2 277 4.70 Fort Campbell Kentucky. Scout.com's #10 prospect. He cancelled on Thursday, after saying that having a game of his own last weekend made the weekend too tight .. but then he took a ND official visit instead. We'll see if he reschedules ... ... (don't hold breath). At any rate, Kentucy leads for him, plus Georgia (Sept. 10).
-- Michigan Commitment #5: (30) Cobrani Mixon LB 6'2 220 4.60 Cincinnati Colerain Ohio. Dec. 2 official visit. Scout.com's #84 prospect committed to U-M on July 27. He had postseason surgery. He also attended U-M's winter Junior day.
-- Toryan Smith LB/RB 6'0 241 4.61 Rome Georgia. Scout.com's #91 Southeast prospect. He has already taken an official visit to Oklahoma (Sept. 3) and Notre Dame (Oct. 15), and U-M Nov. 18 (OSU game) and visits Florida (Nov. 26, the FSU game). He has been to Alabama for multiple unofficial visits. He had a great visit, but his finalists may be ND, Fla. And Ala. – U-M reportedly did not push him hard at his visit.
-- Thaddeus Gibson LB/DL 6'3 207 4.40 Euclid Ohio. Scout.com's #47 prospect. He had a great U-M official visit on Nov. 19, but will need to watch it academically (reported 11 ACT). Ohio State, Tennessee (Dec. 3) are his top three, with PSU perhaps still in the mix as well.
-- Michigan commitment #3: (92) Quintin Patilla LB/RB/WR 6'2 1/2 210 4.65 Flint Carman-Ainsworth Michigan. Dec. 2 official visit. Scout.com's #78 Midwest prospect. The underrated Patilla was a force at OLB at the Michigan Camp, fast and hard-hitting. He was offered a few days after the camp ended, and immediately committed.
-- Jai Eugene 5'11 185 4.45 Destrehan, Louisiana. Scout.com's #48 prospect. He will take his official visits to Michigan (Nov. 19 OSU game), USC (Jan. 15), Miami (Jan. 29), Florida, Tennessee. LSU is also right up there for him - in fact, because of family considerations, it'll likely be hard to get him out of the Bayou.
-- Michigan commitment #9: PK Bryan Wright 6'1 200 Salem Ohio. Wright attended the Notre Dame, Indiana and Ohio State games as an unofficial visitor, and a couple days after the OSU game he was offered a scholarship -- and he accepted. OSU immediately got ahold of him and offered as well, so we'll see if he visits there, etc. Wright kicked the 2nd longest field goal in Ohio high school history, a 57-yarder, this season. He also made field goals from 52, 48, 47, 38, 35 and 30 yards. He had just three misses on the season -- from 46, 48 and 55 yards. His dad is from Western Pa. and played for Cincinnati.
