Brandon Minor Profile
Running back Brandon Minor (6-0, 210, 4.5) from Richmond Varina (Va.) denies a leader, but favors Michigan, Virginia Tech, Miami, Florida and Tennessee. All of his favorites have offered.
"I need to take my visits and see how I fit in everywhere before I decide," Minor said. "I want to play for a running team that will use me a lot. I plan to wait as long as possible to make a decision."
Minor has already visited Tennessee on October 8 and has trips scheduled to Michigan (December 9), Miami (December 16) and Virginia Tech (January 6). "I loved the atmosphere at Tennessee," Minor said. "The game day was crazy and indescribable. It was wild!"
Coach Larry Slade from Tennessee visited Minor earlier this evening. "He talked to me about my chances of playing earlier and said that it was all up to me and how hard I worked," Minor said. "He also said that they'll be improving once they find some consistency at quarterback. He thinks that it was hard for them this season because none of their quarterbacks could get into any kind of rhythm."
Minor will be hosting another in-home visit this week, when coach Erik Campbell stops by on Thursday. "I love that Michigan is a complete team with a great offense. They run the ball hard and have great players," Minor said.
Virginia Tech is about four hours from Minor's house and he'll be visiting Blacksburg on January 6. "They have a lot of energy up there," Minor said. "The people are great and they have some hard core fans. They show me a lot of love because I'm an in-state kid and all the fans seem to know me."
(In an injury-shortened season) Minor finished the season with around 480 yards and 10 touchdowns for a 9-1 team.
He reports a 2.7 GPA and an 840 SAT.
