Obi Ezeh Coming Is Feeling 'Blue-ish'

Grand Rapids FB/LB Obi Ezeh is making his Michigan official visit this weekend. Coming in, he says, "Right now they (the Wolverines) seem to be recruiting me the hardest." Will his decision come soon?

Obi Ezeh Profile

Michigan running back/linebacker Obi Ezeh (6-2, 220, 4.6) finished his senior season with 1,400 yards rushing and 12 touchdowns. Defensively, he had 35 tackles, 12 sacks and one interception. His team, Grand Rapids Catholic Central, finished the season 11-2.

"Most of the Big Ten schools are recruiting me as a linebacker, while the MAC schools want me as a big running back," Ezeh said.

Ezeh favors Michigan solidly over Indiana, Western Michigan, Michigan State and Miami (Ohio). He said he has offers from all of his favorites except Michigan State and Miami (Ohio).

He already visited Indiana (December 2) and is scheduled to visit the Wolverines this weekend (December 9).

"My visit to Indiana was pretty fun," Ezeh said. "I liked talking to the coaches and they told me they really need some help at linebacker and that I'd be able to play early on defense."

Ezeh says that Michigan is recruiting him the hardest and he's expecting Wolverines offensive coordinator, Terry Malone, to visit him at home on Wednesday, December 7. "It's just such a great program," Ezeh said of Michigan. "I have a good relationship with the coaching staff and I'm really comfortable on their campus. It's only about two and half-hours away and I've been there a lot. Right now they seem to be recruiting me the hardest. I'd like to make a decision before Christmas," Ezeh said.

"I'm not too concerned with playing time. I just want to make sure that I'll be able to develop and get better as a player. I don't think I'll need to take any other visits, but who knows."

He reports a 3.6 GPA and a 24 on his ACT.
