SC DE Adam Patterson: U-M Visit Sets Standard

South Carolina defensive end Adam Patterson visits Michigan for the SECOND time, and for his first official visit of this recruiting season.

Adam Patterson DE 6'3 265 4.65 Columbia Richland Northeast South Carolina,'s #33 East prospect, made his first official visit to Michigan this weekend. He got his recruiting visits going late in the game because he played in the NC-SC Shrine Game on December 17th. GoBlueWolverine spoke to Adam Sunday night about the visit.

"Things went great! The visit exceeded my expectations."

How was the winter for a Southern guy?

"It was cold, there was a little snow on the ground ... but it's nothing you can't get used to ... it really was not too bad."

Have you ever been to Michigan before?

"I was up to Michigan two summers ago, after my sophomore year. I attended the Michigan Camp."

Who was your host?

"James McKinney was my host; he's a defensive end like me. And he's from the South too, from Kentucky."

That's the position Michigan is recruiting you for?

"Yeah. I'm a rush end, that's what I played in high school. And that's where Michigan sees me."

How would you rate the visit overall?

"It was my first visit, but it set a real high standard. It's the visit I'll compare all other visits to."

Where are you going next?

"I visit Tennessee this coming weekend, then NC-State the next weekend, and finally Auburn the weekend before Signing Day."

So you're taking things to the end?

"Yes. I'll announce my decision on Signing Day."
