"It went good," Woods said of the visit. "It went great! My host, "JT" (John Thompson) took me out, I talked with the coaches at dinner and breakfast, and they gave me a tour of the campus, the facilities, and the locker room."
The Maize and Blue has been steadily turning up the heat in Woods' recruitment and many thought a commitment this weekend was a distinct possibility. Did he reach a decision while in Ann Arbor? "No, not yet," said Woods. "I take a visit to Iowa this weekend coming up. I'll make my choice after my last date to Missouri. It will be at the end of this month."
The Hawkeyes have courted the 6-6 218-pounder just as heavily as the Wolverines and were the first to offer. For Woods, though … who was on him first won't mean much in the grand scheme of things. "They both got on me at about the same time," Woods said of Michigan and Iowa. "Iowa was on me maybe a little longer, but not that much longer. That won't make a difference in my choice. It will come down to education and how good I fit into the program. All the teams are even right now."
GoBlueWolverine will have more on Woods in the coming weeks.
