Defensive back Aaron Gant of Orchard Lake (Mich.) St. Mary said on a couple occasions that if things went well on his official visit to Ohio State this weekend, he would make a commitment. After speaking with Gant, it sounds like that is indeed the case.
"It was a really good visit," he said. "I did not commit, but I will call coach Tressel tomorrow and confirm that I will be a Buckeye."
Gant did not make his decision while on campus but feels now that his decision has been made.
"I just had not decided at the time," he said. "Now I'm sure I want to be a Buckeye."
Gant added that he does not feel a need to talk things out before committing.
"No, I don't really need to talk it over with anybody," he said.
Gant was shown around by multiple players.
"There was really a bunch of guys," he said. "It was like there was more than one host. Malcolm Jenkins, Ted Ginn, Mo Wells, and several other guys."
Gant (6-0, 205, 4.5) is most likely suited for safety in college.
