Mouton Hosts a Pair of U-M Visitors

It's getting down to the wire for safety Jonas Mouton of Venice, Calif., High School. The five-star player hosted a pair of Michigan coaches on Monday. He also talked about a proposed visit to Texas. With Signing Day less than two weeks away, will an announcement come soon?

Five-star safety Jonas Mouton narrowed his final list to three several weeks ago - LSU, USC, and Michigan. On Monday, Mouton hosted a pair of coaches from one of those schools. "Coach (Ron) English and Coach (Lloyd) Carr were here today," he said. "The visit went well and we had a good talk. I didn't commit or anything, I'm not ready to decide yet."

The 6-foot-2, 210-pound Mouton did not wish to elaborate on the visit other than to say he had some things to consider, including the distance from home, before making his selection.

Mouton has officially visited all the schools on his final list, and had stated that he would take no further trips. However, rumors surfaced that a trip to Texas was on the horizon. "I thought about going there, but I probably won't," he said.

He did not state whether any other schools were scheduled for in-home visits, or when an announcement might be forthcoming.
