GoBlueWolverine's Early "Best Guess List" for '07 Wolverine football recruiting gets updated with the latest info on each.

Michigan starts off once again with less than 20 scholarships available for 2007 -- of course, the number grew from 12 to 20 in 2005-06.

(Note: This early list is still inclusive, not exclulsive. Names will be added, especially through the spring and summer camp. We don't want to put a person on the list who doesn't belong there, but visa versa is certainly the case -- there will be more.)



Quarterbacks:
The need: critical, two needed.

Texas QB Ryan Mallett (6-7, 240, 4.8) Texarkana Texas. He was a 2005 camper, and may camp again in 2006, as well as possibly visiting in the spring. *He has a U-M offer*, and U-M's main early competition for him, Texas, has been dropped back by him. He also is taking a look at FSU, Alabama, USC and possibly Notre Dame. He is considered one of the nation's Top Ten juniors.

N.Y. QB Mike Paulus (6-5, 210) Syracuse, N.Y., Christian Brothers Academy. He made a spring visit to U-M and ND, and is going out to USC as well. Notre Dame leads for him, but still hasn't offered (they are waiting for Jimmy Clausen); U-M is second. *He reportedly has a U-M offer*, and also has offers from Arizona State, Duke, Miami of Ohio, NC State, North Carolina, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Virginia, Wake Forest, Wisconsin. He plans to make an early summer decision. As a junior he threw for 2,100 yards, 20 touchdowns, and nine interceptions.

Vir. QB Peter Lalich (6-4 1/2, 205) from Springfield. The top performing QB at the U.S. Army Combine in January, Lalich now has a verbal *U-M offer*, as well as offers from Miami, Pitt, UCLA, North Carolina State, Ohio State, and Virginia (leader). He attended the '05 OSU game. He is good friends with Chicago RB Robert Hughes. He is considered a top 100 Junior. He should made a summer '06 decision, maybe even by June 1st.

Pa. QB Pat Bostick (6-3, 220) from Manheim Township. He attended a U-M spring practice. Pitt leads, and he make an early-summer decision ... he also has offers from Louisville, UConn, Rutgers, Ole Miss, and Maryland. As a junior he passed for 2,820 yards (63% completions) and 34 touchdown passes with just six ints. He was a US Army Combine attendee and a U-M Junior day attendee as well. His head coached kicked for U-M. He is considered a top 100 Junior.

Mich. QB Steven Threet (6-5, 220) from Adrian. He attended a U-M spring practice, and the 'spring game'. He was an '05 U-M camper, where he performed well, and where he and OL Josh Oglesby became friends. Indiana and Georgia Tech have offered him. His junior season he passed for 1,600 yards and 20 TD's. He has offers from Indiana and Georgia Tech. He is a 4.0 student.

Pa. QB Chris Whitney (6-3, 215) from Philadelphia St. Joseph's. U-M is his early fav. As a junior he accounted for nearly 2,000 yards of offense and 25 touchdowns.

Ark. QB Stefan Loucks (6-2, 185) from Little Rock. He attended the N-Ill. game last fall. He has an Auburn offer. As a junior he completed 306-of-496 passes for 4,182 yards and 43 touchdowns.



Running Backs:
The need: not critical, but one, especially a great one, is good in each class.

Ill. RB Robert Hughes (5-11, 227) from Chicago Hubbard. At the recent U.S. Army Junior Combine, he ran a 4.1 sec. shuttle, and had 24 bench press reps. As a junior he ran for 1,900 yards (15+ yards per carry, believe it or not) and scored 19 touchdowns in 2005. Hughes also made 61 tackles, had 10 solo tackles and 6 sacks. He attended the U-M 'spring game', and U-M leads. He was a US Army Combine attendee and a U-M Junior day attendee as well. He plans to attend the U-M Spring Game. He is considered a definite Top 100 Junior, ad may be the top RB in the Midwest. *He has a U-M offer*, and also has offers from Illinois, Virginia (he camped there as a frosh and knows QB Pete Lalich well), Purdue, Michigan, Kansas State, Mississippi State, Minnesota, and Oklahoma State. His favs: Ohio State, Michigan, Notre Dame, Illinois, Purdue, Miami, Virginia and Iowa.

Calif. RB Marc Tyler (6-0, 215) from Westlake Village. He reports a *U-M offer*, and has a top five (all have offered) of USC, UCLA, Notre Dame, Tennessee, and Michigan. His dad is former UCLA great Wendell Tyler. As a junior he rushed for 2,193 yards and 39 touchdowns.

Ok. RB/Ath Gerald Jones (5-11, 185) from Oklahoma City Milwood. The high school QB reportedly has a *U-M offer*, and also offers from Texas Tech, Florida, Notre Dame, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Oklahoma State. He plans to make an official visit to U-M. He's a December grad.

Ohio RB Daniel Herron (5-10, 190, 4.5) from Warren Harding (Prescott Burgess' alma mater). He plans to attend the U-M summer camp. He has offers from Illinois, Michigan State, Indiana and Boston College, and lists a top three of Ohio State, Penn State, Michigan.

Ohio RB Brandon Saine (6-0, 200, 4.35) from Piqua. U-M is his early fav. He has 11 offers now, including Ohio State. Northwestern, *Michigan* (reportedly), Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Pittsburgh, Boston College, Nebraska, Maryland, Oregon, Stanford, Miami (OH) and Bowling Green. He is the state's 100m (10.78), 400m and indoor 55m champ. He accounted for over 1,900 all-purpose yards as a junior, rushing for 1,300 yards and scored 21 touchdowns. He was an '05 U-M Camper.

Ind. RB Darren Evans (6-0, 205, 4.6, 33-inch vertical jump) from Indianapolis Warren Central. As a junior he he rushed for 2,148 yards and scored 39 touchdowns. He was a 2005 U-M Camper and a U-M Junior day attendee, and attended two U-M games last fall. He has one offer, from Louisville, and has been led to expect offers down the road from Michigan, Ohio State, Oklahoma State, West Virginia. U-M, OSU and Notre Dame are the schools he likes most. He is considered a possible Top 100 Junior.

Ill. RB Dan Dierking from Wheaton. He attended one U-M game this past fall. He was a U-M Junior day attendee.

Ill. RB Dale Martin (5-11, 195) from Bolingbrook. He was a U-M Junior Day attendee. He is considered a potential Top 100 Junior.

Ohio RB/CB Devon Torrence (6-1, 190) from Canton, Ohio, South. He attended the PSU game last fall. He is a top 5 Ohio junior, as well as a top MLB baseball prospect. He has offers from Clemson, Illinois, Indiana and Kentucky, and lists as his early favs Illinois, Michigan, Notre Dame and Ohio State. He is considered a potential Top 100 Junior.

Wis. RB John Clay (6-2, 220) from Racine, Wisconsin, Racine Park. His offers so far: Nebraska and Iowa, OSU, Nebraska ... U-M may offer as well. As a junior he rushed for 2,032 yards (23+ yards per carry) rushing and 30 touchdowns.

Michigan commitment #1: FB Vince Helmuth (6-2, 260) from Saline, Mich. He ran an excellent 4.34 shuttle at the U.S. Army Combine.

Ohio Ath Chaz Jones (5-11, 200) from Cleveland Heights University Heights. He attended the U-M 'spring game'. He has no offers yet. As a junior he had 863 rushing yards and 937 passing yards, as well as 9 rushing TDs and 8 passing TDs.

Wide Receivers:
The need: strong: two? three? with at least one great one.

N.C. WR Greg Little (6-3, 210, 4.5, 40 inch vertical jump) from Durham, North Carolina, Hillside High. As of April 22 he still plans to camp at U-M for a day. He likes the U-M depth chart at WR. He was the top wideout at the U.S. Army Combine, where he ran a 4.3 sec. shuttle. At the spring Scout.com combine he recorded a 40 inch vertical jump. He was naming a top five of Virginia, Notre Dame, Michigan, Clemson and South Carolina -- but PSU, Oklahoma and Georgia have now offered as well. He plans to camp at all his favs, including U-M. He plans to announce his decision on Oct. 6. He has 20+ offers. As a junior RB he rushed 160 times for 1,166 yards and 26 touchdowns. As a wideout, he caught 23 passes for 375 yards and four touchdowns. In limited action on defense, Little picked off four passes. He is considered a top 100 Junior.

S.C. WR J.R. Hemingway (6-2, 200, 4.58 at U-M Camp) from Conway, S.C. He was a 2005 U-M camper and also camped at South Carolina -- his two favorites?. He plans to make a summer decision. He has a *scholarship offer from U-M*, as well as Michigan, Clemson, Maryland, USC, Florida State, Ohio State, Nebraska, Mississippi State, North Carolina, Boston College and Duke. As a junior he recorded 55 catches and 10 touchdowns. He claims a 37-inch vertical jump. He is considered a potential Top 100 Junior.

Mich. WR/TE Martell Webb (6-5, 215, 4.7) from Pontiac Northern. Here is an early 'sleeper' -- Webb attended the U-M Junior Day and was *offered a U-M* scholarship. The Wolverines are his only offer so far, and lead.

Mich. WR Taurian Washington (6-1+, 190) from Orchard Lake St. Mary's. He attended the U-M 'spring game' and also attended practice two days earlier, with teammate Dionte Allen. He was a U-M Junior day attendee, where he reportedly received a *U-M offer*. His other offers: Purdue, Michigan State, Wisconsin, Purdue, Penn State, Illinois, Iowa, and Oregon. He wants to make a summer decision. As a junior he caught caught 35 passes and scored 12 TDs. He has run a 21.9 200m.

Pa. WR Toney Clemons (6-3 190-pounds) from New Kensington, Pa., Valley. The top player at the Pitt Scout.com combine and, in GBW's view, a 5-star prospect. He has early offers from Pittt, Ole Miss, UConn and Akron, and U-M is now recruiting him hard. U-M is his dream school, and he has a connection with Steve Breaston. His top schools: Michigan, Notre Dame, Miami, Pittsburgh, Ohio State and USC. As a junior he made 43 receptions for 666 yards and 13 total touchdowns.

Fla. WR Leonard Hankerson from Ft Lauderdale St. Thomas Aquinas. He was a U-M Junior day attendee. His leaders: Michigan (*reported offer*), Miami, and Florida, Ohio State ... all have offered him, plus Auburn, Pittsburgh, USF, UCF, Rutgers, Ole Miss, MSST. His junior season he made 28 receptions for 606 yards and 14 touchdowns in 14 games as he helped lead his team to the state title game.

Mich. WR Mark Dell (6-1, 175) from Farmington Hills Harrison. He attended the '06 U-M 'spring game' and plans to camp at U-M for a day. He has an MSU offer. As a junior he caught 43 passes for 945 yards (22 yards per catch) and scored 11 TDs; as a CB he intercepted 7 passes.



Tight Ends:
The need: strong: two?

Mich. TE/WR Martell Webb (6-5, 215, 4.7) from Pontiac Northern. Here is an early 'sleeper' -- Webb attended the U-M Junior Day and was *offered a U-M* scholarship. The Wolverines are his only offer so far, and lead.

Mich. TE Rocky Weaver (6-5, 215, 4.8) from Battle Creek Harper Creek. He attended five U-M games this past fall, and was a Junior Day attendee. He is a top ten Michigan junior. As a junior he had 1,025 yards receiving and scored 12 touchdowns; he recorded 46 tackles and six sacks on the defensive side. He also plays basketball, averaging 20 points and 10 rebounds a game.

Ohio TE Kyle Hubbard (6-4, 225, 4.6 at the '05 U-M Camp) from Lakewood St. Edwards. His April 22nd top three: Miami (Fla.), Ohio State, and Michigan. He has no offers as yet. As a junior he caught over 40 passes. He was a 2005 U-M Camper, he attended a U-M game last fall, and he was an '06 U-M Junior day attendee. As a junior (only his second year of football, first as a starter) he had 58 catches for 800 yards (13.8 yards per reception) and 6 TDs. He is a top 10-15 Ohio junior.

-- TE/WR Adrien Robinson (6-5, 225, 4.7 (electronic) He has a 36-inch vertical and an 11.0 100m. Indiana and Louisville have offered. He attended the '05 U-M Camp and the Jan. '06 Junior Day.

Mich. TE/DE Cameron Joplin (6-4, 250) from Ann Arbor Pioneer. He has offers from Northwestern and Kentucky. He attended the U-M Junior Day, and a spring practice.



Offensive line:
The need: strong at RT (hopefully a great one will be added), moderate elsewhere.

Wis. OL Josh Oglesby (6-6, 290) from St. Francis, Wisconsin. He was a 2005 U-M camper, and attended the fall 2005 OSU game ... he plans to attend a U-M spring practice and the '06 U-M Camp once again. He is considered a top 20 Junior. *He has a U-M offer*, and also has offers from Wisconsin, Michigan State, Arkansas, Tennessee, Notre Dame, USC, Northwestern, Ohio State, Iowa Illinois, Louisville, Nebraska.

N.Y. OL John Elliott (6-4, 285) from East Meadow, N.Y. He visited U-M for a spring practice. He made an unofficial visit to U-M last summer for the late July Junior Day. *He reportedly has a U-M offer*, and also has offers from Wisconsin, Michigan State, Ohio State, Iowa, Illinois, Tennessee, Arkansas, USC, Florida State, Notre Dame, Stanford, Louisville, Clemson, Boston College and Nebraska. He may attend the 2006 U-M Camp. He has a 3.5 GPA. He is considered a potential Top 100 Junior.

Pa. OL Stefen Wisniewski (6-3, 275) from Pittsburgh Central Catholic. He was a U-M Junior day attendee. *He reportedly has a U-M offer*, plus offers from Pitt, Penn State (his dad is a former D-lineman), Georgia Tech, Virginia, Stanford, Boston College, and others. His top four: U-M, PSU BC and Stanford. As a junior, on the defensive line, he made 64 tackles and six sacks. He has a 1270 SAT. He is a possible Top 100 junior.

Ariz. OL Javario Burkes (6-6, 320) from Phoenix Moon Valley. He has a *U-M offer*, as well as offers from 22-23 others. His top schools: Miami, Michigan, Georgia, Tennessee, and USC (the fav?).

Miss. OL Chaz Ramsey (6-3, 270) from Madison Central. He reportedly has a *U-M offer*, as well as offers from Auburn, Ole Miss, Mississippi State and Vanderbilt.

Ark. OL Lee Ziemba (6-6, 285) from Rogers. He is visiting Notre Dame for their spring game April 22, and then will go on to U-M from there. He reportedly has a *U-M offer*, and also has offers from Notre Dame, Kansas State, Arkansas, Auburn, Mississippi State, Oklahoma State and Texas Tech.

Az. OL Kris O'Dowd (6-5, 300, 4.92) from Tucson Salpointe. He was a 2005 U-M Camper, and he reports early offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Nevada, Michigan State, Ohio State, Oregon State, and Texas Tech ... U-M may offer him in the spring. He has a 410-lb. bench press and a 30 inch vertical. He has a 3.4 GPA.

Pa. OL Josh Marks (6-5, 300, 400-lb. bench press) from Southern Columbia. he and teammate RB Henry Hynoski attended the Northern Illinois game last fall. Some reports say he will commit to PSU soon. His reported offers: Penn State, Pittsburgh, Rutgers and West Virginia.

Ohio OL Mark Weterer (6-4, 300) from Cincinnati Anderson. He attended three U-M games this past fall. He was a US Army Combine attendee and a U-M Junior day attendee as well.

Pa. OL Evan Blankenship (6-3, 310) from Monaca (Pa.) Center Area.

Mich. OT Darrell Davis-Budanauro (6-5, 360) from East Grand Rapids, Mich. He has moved to Michigan from Carrolton, Texas. He has a MSU offer. He attended the U-M Junior Day, and the U-M 'spring game'.

Penn. OL Gino Gradkowski (6-4, 275) from Pittsburgh Seton-LaSalle. He attended a U-M spring practice. He has offers from Pitt and West Virginia.

Ohio OL Marcus O'Hara (6-7, 305) from Hubbard, Ohio. He attended the '05 PSU game.

Mich. OL Chad Pepper (6-6, 350) from Grand Rapids Union. He attended the U-M 'spring game' and plans to camp at U-M as well.

Defensive Tackle:
The need: one great one?

Mich. DL Joseph Barkesdale (6-5, 305) from Detroit Cass Tech. He attended the U-M 'spring game'. He plans to camp this summer at Michigan, Ohio State and Notre Dame. A 2005 U-M Camper, he has a *U-M offer*. His offers: Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Miami and Tennessee. At the U.S. Army Junior Combine, he ran a 4.6 sec. shuttle (exceptional for such a big man), and had a good 26 bench press reps of 185 lbs. ... his coach says he has done 21 reps of 225 lbs, and he reports a max bench press of 400 lbs. As a junior he recorded 83 tackles, 20 tackles for loss, eight sacks, and two deflected passes. His head coach is former Wolverine Thomas Wilcher. He attended two fall 2005 U-M games and was a U-M Junior day attendee. He also attended the late Feb. Ill basketball game. He has attended the past three U-M camps, and will camp at U-M, OSU and MSU this summer, and go to the ND 7-on-7. He is a top five Michigan junior. He is a strong student, with a 3.5 GPA and a 21 ACT. As a junior he made 83 tackles, 20 stops for loss and eight sacks.



Defensive end:
The need: moderate - two?

Wolverine commitment #3: Mich. DE Ryan Van Bergen from Whitehall. He attended the U-M Junior Day, and several games in the fall of '05. He had offers from Indiana and Purdue before getting a U-M offer -- and committing on April 4th. As a junior he recorded had 32 tackles for loss and seven sacks.

Ohio DE Ben Martin (6-5, 225) from Cinci DeLaSalle. Notre Dame most likely leads U-M and OSU for him. He reportedly has a *U-M offer*, as well as from OSU, ND, Florida and 10+ others. He had planned to come to the U-M Spring Game, but will be visiting his sick grandma instead.

Ill. DE Mike Garrity (6-3, 275) from Batavia, Illinois. One of the top juniors in Illinois. He attended two U-M games this past fall. He has an Illinois offer as of early Feb. He is a top 10 Illinois Junior.

Ohio DE Eric Thomas (6-4, 250, 4.7) from Cleveland Benedictine. He played DE and fullback as a junior. He attended the U-M Junior Day. He has no offers as of late Feb. His top 4: Ohio State, Michigan, Miami (Fla.), Notre Dame and Illinois. Michigan is recruiting him the hardest. As a junior he had 72 tackles and 13 sacks. He is a top 10-15 Ohio junior. He plans to attend the U-M Camp.

Mich. TE/DE Cameron Joplin (6-4, 250) from Ann Arbor Pioneer. He has offers from Northwestern and Kentucky. He attended the U-M Junior Day, and a spring practice, and plans to camp at U-M for a day.



Linebackers:
The need: average but significant -- two or three?

Mich. LB Chris Colasanti (6-2, 210) from Birmingham Brother Rice. As a junior he recorded 153 tackles, four sacks and one interception. He was a U-M Junior day attendee, where he received *a U-M offer*. He also has offers from PSU (the fav?), MSU, OSU, Boston College and Stanford, and he also lists Notre Dame as well. He was an '04 U-M Camper, and plans to camp next summer at OSU and ND. He is a top 5-10 Michigan junior.

Pa. H-Back/LB Steve Paskorz (6-2, 220) from Allison Park, Pa., Hampton High. He was a Jan. 28 U-M Junior day attendee. *He reportedly has a U-M offer*, as an H-Back. He attended the Notre Dame game last fall, and the July '05 Junior Day as well. His other offers: Pittsburgh, Virginia, West Virginia, Indiana and Ole Miss. He plans a summer decision. As a soph. he rushed for over 2,000 yards and 27 TDs. As a junior he rushed for 1,291 yards (on just 160 carries in an injury-hampered season) and 14 touchdowns. He is considered a potential Top 100 Junior. He also has a 3.71 GPA.

- N.J. LB Will Thompson (6-1, 230) from Jersey City St. Peter's. He reportedly has a *U-M offer*, plus offers from Boston College (the fav?), Maryland, Virginia, Pittsburgh, West Virginia and UConn.

N.J. LB Manny Abreu (6-4, 225, 4.5) from Union City Union Hill. He reportedly has a *U-M offer*, plus offers from Maryland, Rutgers, UConn, Boston College, Maryland, Michigan State, West Virginia, North Carolina, Florida and Iowa. As a junior he made 90 tackles, and 7 sacks.

Mich. LB/SS Terrell Willis (6-2, 200) from Jackson, Mich., Lumen Christi. The friend of Antonio Bass attended two U-M games last fall.



Cornerbacks:
The need: strong -- three or even four?

Mich. CB/S Ronald Johnson (6-0, 200) from Muskegon, Michigan. He attended a U-M spring practice. A 2005 U-M Camper, he has a U-M offer. He ran a 4.0 sec. shuttle at the '05 U-M Nike Camp. He attended three U-M games this past fall. He missed his junior season with an ACL. He was a U-M Junior day attendee, and an '05 U-M Camper. He is considered the top junior in the state of Michigan, and is a definite Top 100 Junior. *He has a U-M offer*, and he also lists Texas, Tennessee, Florida State, Notre Dame, Miami, and USC. He plans to camp at U-M again, and OSU, and take summer unofficial visits.

Mich. CB Dionte Allen (5-10, 180) from Orchard Lake St. Mary's. A 2005 U-M Campe for once day. He attended the last U-M spring practice before the 'spring game'. He attended two games last fall (OLSM played on Saturday afternoons). He was a U-M Junior day attendee. Other junior days: Notre Dame, Michigan State, Florida State. He is a top five Michigan junior. *He has a U-M offer*, with other offers from Miami, USC, Pittsburgh, Michigan, Ohio State, Notre Dame and Florida State (his childhood fav), and others. As a junior he recorded 56 tackles and five interceptions.

Calif. CB/S Michael Williams (5-10, 175, 4.45) from Ventura St. Bonaventure. He is visiting Notre Dame for their spring game April 22, and then will go on to U-M and Northwestern from there. He has a U-M offer*, as well as offers from ASU, Ole Miss, Arizona and Oregon State, and Notre Dame. U-M and ND are his top two. As a junior he recorded 98 tackles, three sacks, and two interceptions. He may attend the U-M camp this summer.

N.C. CB Marcus Gilchrist (5-11, 175) from High Point. He has a *U-M offer*, as well as offers from South Carolina, Notre Dame, Penn State, Clemson and others. He plans to visit U-M in the summer, and to decide before school starts.

Ohio CB Jordan Mabin (5-9, 180) from Nordania. At the March Pitt Scout.com Combine he ran a 4.42 40 and a 4.1 shuttle; at the U.S. Army Junior Combine he ran a 4.1 sec. shuttle and had the 4th fastest 40 at 4.5 (into a stiff wind). He attended two U-M games last fall. He was a U-M Junior day attendee.

Tex. CB Troy Wolfolk (5-10, 170) from Fort Bend Dullas (Houston area). The don of Butch Wolfolk attended a U-M spring practice. He also has relatives in Oklahoma and has checked out OU.

Mich. CB Cedric Everson (5-11, 170) from Detroit Mumford. He reports a lot of early offers, but there is no offer from U-M yet. He attended the U-M Junior Day, and plans to camp at Notre Dame.

Calif. CB Courtney Viney (5-10, 165) from Fresno, Calif., Edison. He is from the same school as Johnny Sears. At the U.S. Army Combine, he was FAST, and possibly the top CB there. He ran a 4.2 sec. shuttle and had a 32 inch vertical -- but he was lightening in WR/DB drills.

Ohio CB Marcus English (6-2, 180) from Dayton, Ohio, Trotwood-Madison. U-M is his favorite. Will he get a U-M offer?



Safety:
The need: average -- one or two?

Michigan commitment #2. Ind. Safety Artis Chambers (6-2, 185) from Ft. Wayne, Indiana, Snyder. He attended the January 28th Michigan Junior Day and was offered a scholarship -- and he committed to U-M around Feb. 12.

Ohio S/CB Eugene Clifford (6-4, 210) from Cincinnati Colerain. He was a 2005 U-M camper and was *offered a scholarship*, and he attended two U-M games last fall. He planned to attend the U-M Junior Day but was taking the ACT. His other offers: OSU, Michigan State, Illinois, Boston College and Cincinnati. As a junior he made 147 tackles and 6 ints. He is a potential Top 100 Junior.

Ind. Safety Jeremy Finch (6-3, 215) from Indianapolis Warren Central. He attended the U-M 'spring game', and seems to be getting more comfortable at U-M. He was a U-M Junior day attendee and was *offered a U-M scholarship*, and he also has offers from Iowa, Louisville, Kentucky, and Indiana. He recorded 11 interceptions (along with 98 tackles) as a junior and 7 as a soph. Underrated, and a stud. He plans to attend the U-M camp this coming summer.

SoCal S. Marshall Jones Marshall Jones (6-1, 190, 4.5, 10.6 100m) from Westlake Village Oaks Christian (the school of QB Jimmy Clausen and RB Marc Tyler). USC as offered him now, and he lists Oregon, Arizona, Tennessee, and Michigan. He lived in Chicago for 12 years and was a U-M fan; his grandparents both went to U-M. As a junior Jones recorded 71 tackles and five interceptions; on offense he caught 23 passes for 407 yards and three TD's and he also carried the ball 47 times for 486 yards (10.3 yards per carry) and ten TD's.

Va. S Davon Morgan (6-0, 185, 4.6) from Richmond Varina. He is the teammate of U-M signee Brandon Minor. *U-M has reportedly offered him*, as has Virginia Tech. As a junior QB he threw for 1,402 yards, with 20 touchdowns and six interceptions. He had 505 yards rushing and eight TD's. On defense he reports 30 tackles and nine interceptions - three of which he returned for TD's.

Fla. S/LB Lorenzo Edwards (6-2, 220, 4.51) from Orlando Edgewater. The teammate of U-M signee Greg Mathews had a strong US Army Combine, and reports an *offer from Michigan*, plus Miami, Florida, Notre Dame, Tennessee, Nebraska, Georgia Tech - among others. As a junior safety he recorded 92 tackles, including 21 for loss, and made 5 ints. He will likely visit U-M in the spring/summer.

S.C. DB/OLB Scotty Cooper (6-1, 200, 4.4) from Lake City. He reportedly has a *U-M offer*, and also lists South Carolina, Clemson and Virginia Tech ... he also has offers from NC-State and Kentucky. As a junior he made 96 tackles, 11 tackles for a loss, and four sacks.

Pa. WR/DB Nick Sukay (6-3, 200) from Greensburg, Pa., Central Catholic. He played WR at the Pitt Scout.com Combine and was excellent, but his college future may be at DB. He has early offers from Pitt, West Virginia, Indiana, Georgia Tech, Kentucky. He attended the Notre Dame game last fall. He had 10 interceptions as a sophomore, and 6 and 60 tackles as a junior (he also caught 29 passes for 7 TD's).

S.C. S/Ath Mark Barnes (6-3, 190 from Columbia, S.C., Richland Northeast. He is the teammate of Adam Patterson. *He reportedly has a U-M offer*. Other offers: South Carolina (leader?), Clemson, Florida, Tennessee, Maryland, Virginia Tech, Kentucky, Georgia Tech, Ole Miss, NC State, Auburn, LSU, and Louisville. He is considered a top 100 Junior.

Ohio S/WR David Arnold (6-0, 185) from Copley, Ohio. He attended the U-M Junior Day. He is the son of mid-80's Wolverine DB David Arnold. As a junior WR he had 23 catches for 550 yards and three touchdowns; on defense he had over 75 tackles and seven interceptions.

Ohio S/OLB Andrew Dailey (6-3, 215) from Masillon Washington. He attended the U-M 'spring game'. He has a PSU offer, and plans to camp at Florida, Notre Dame, Michigan and Ohio State this summer. As a junior, Dailey racked up 80 tackles, forced five fumbles, had one interception and blocked three punts.

Ohio S Diauntae Morrow (6-0, 185, 4.55) from Lakewood St. Ed's. As a junior he made 75 tackles, 15 tackles for loss and eight sacks. He grew up a U-M fan.

Michigan P/K Rockne Belmonte (5-10, 180) from Grand Rapids Catholic Central. He wants U-M, but will the Wolverines offer a P/K this year?
