His Recruiting Story:
With Bryan Wright, all he ever wanted was a major Big 10 offer. Growing up in Ohio, Bryan Wright grew up on Big 10 football. With the big stadiums and bigger tradition, it's easy to see why. It was for that reason that when Michigan came calling, Bryan couldn't say no.

"I've been waiting forever to get a Big Ten offer," Wright said, "and now I'm fortunate to have one."

Wright got an unexpected call on his cell phone during a class on Tuesday at Salem and when the class ended he went directly to his coach's office before he returned the call. He didn't recognize the number. It turned out the call was from Michigan coach Mike Debord, the school's recruiting coordinator, and he wanted Wright to call him back.

"He asked me if they offered me a scholarship would I commit?" said Wright recalling his conversation with Debord. "I said 'Probably' and then he offered me a scholarship to the University of Michigan."

That's all Wright needed to hear. He enjoyed his recent visits to Michigan for the Indiana and Ohio State games and an offer to a Big Ten school like Michigan or Ohio State is something that he's been dreaming about.

"The stadium is amazing," Wright said. "It's just a great feeling to know that I'm going to be playing for them now." Commentary
As a freshman, you can expect to see Bryan Wright redshirt as he becomes acclimated to college life. With Garrett Rivas on scholarship, you likely won't see Wright until his sophomore year, but when you do, you'll see Wright provide an immediate improvement to the Wolverines kicking game. His powerful leg is capable of hitting from 50+ yards and will make him a threat for the Wolverines for years to come.

As a senior, Wright hit a 57-yard field goal, the second longest in Ohio high school football history.
