Warren Harding Jr. T-back, L-backer Visit U-M

Warren G. Harding High School in Warren, Ohio has been kind to Michigan recently, sending key players Prescott Burgess and Mario Manningham to the Wolverines. There are 3-4 junior Div. I prospects on the Harding team right now, and all of them have visited U-M this past fall. Here are two, RB Daniel Herron and LB Marlin Parker.

Daniel Herron Profile

Daniel Herron a 5-foot-10, 190 pound, running back from Warren G. Harding HS in Warren, Ohio has already received his first three scholarship offers.

"I have been offered by Illinois, Michigan State, and Boston College," Herron said. "I talked to my coaches and they said that Indiana is about to offer me as well. I am definitely interested in all of the schools that have offered, but I would say that Ohio State, Penn State, Michigan, and Miami are my top schools. I am receiving a lot of interest from Ohio State, Penn State, and Michigan, but I have not heard from Miami yet. I sent them my film, so hopefully they will get back to me soon. I am real interested in their program."

"I am also interested in Pittsburgh, Syracuse, Notre Dame, and USC. I am really looking to check out all of these programs and see what they have to offer."

Herron also plans to learn as much as possible and display his skills on the summer camp circuit. "I am definitely going to be going to the Ohio State camp. I had a good camp last year and ran a pretty good forty (4.52). I am going to get out to as many camps and see as many camps as possible this summer. I plan to be real busy with all of that."

Marlin Parker Profile

Marlin Parker a 6-foot-2, 225 pound, linebacker/defensive end prospect from Warren G. Harding HS in Warren, Ohio has already picked up his first two official offers.

"I have been offered by Boston College and Indiana," Parker said. "Boston College was the first to offer. I am also getting mail from a whole lot of programs."

In addition to the two schools that have already offered, Parker claims an interest in a wide variety of programs: Penn State, Virginia Tech, Florida State, Boston College, Michigan, Ohio State, Alabama, Syracuse, Florida, and Notre Dame.

Despite wanting to take his time with the recruiting process, he claims that there are two early leaders in his recruitment. "I would say my top schools would be Boston College and Penn State."

"Boston College was the first school that offered me, and I like the fact that they are in the ACC, and play at a lot different places in the country."

"I really respect what Paterno has been able to do at Penn State. He is really getting them right back where they need to be. They also have a great tradition at linebacker."

(GoBlueWolverine note: he attended the U-M-PSU game last fall.)
