Loeffler Staying at Michigan

Scot Loeffler will not join the exodus of Michigan coaches heading to the NFL

Two Michigan coaches recently took positions with NFL teams. Former defensive backs coach ron English signed on with the Chicago Bears, and former offensive coordinator Terry Malone took a position with the New Orleans Saints. Rumors abounded that U-M quarterbacks coach Scot Loeffler would also head for the pros. However, he put those concerns to rest on Tuesday. "I am not leaving the University of Michigan," Loeffler told the Detroit News. "I am happy and perfectly content here."

Loeffler also said he had not been contacted by any NFL teams.

The rumors began to fly when Loeffler met with former Michigan quarterback Tom Brady, currently with the New England Patriots.
