Cinci Safety Eugene Clifford Stays Open

Eugene Clifford, a big, fast, hard-hitting safety from Colerain High in Cincinnati, Ohio, already has offers from top schools all over the USA -- and the recruiting battle for him will be fierce.

GoBlueWolverine notes: Clifford was a 2005 Michigan Camper, where he was a standout and after which was offered a U-M scholarship. His 6-2, 190 stats below are modest -- he looked 6-3+, 210 to GBW -- a strong safety who can play FS as well. And for lots of film on him, click Eugene Clifford Profile.

Eugene Clifford, a 6-foot-2, 190 pound, athlete, from Colerain High in Cincinnati, Ohio, will be one of the most highly recruited players in the state by the time it is all said and done. "The recruiting process has been going alright so far," Clifford said. "My top schools right now are Miami (Fla.), Florida State, Florida, Michigan, and Ohio State."

"Exciting," is the word Clifford used to describe the way he felt when Michigan offered him a scholarship after he impressed at their summer camp almost a year ago.

Clifford has seen numerous teammates land at either Ohio State or Michigan over the recent years, but he is trying to keep an open mind to all of the schools at the top of his list.

"There is not really a favorite for me right now, because I have not been out all over to see the campuses," Clifford informed.

As a junior, Clifford racked up an astonishing 147 tackles and six interceptions while on the way to garnering second team All State honors.
