"I'm not interested [in playing fullback]," Robert Hughes said. "I really don't want to hear that. That's a no-no as far as I'm concerned. I want to run the ball.
"Some schools have been upfront with me and I want them to be. I don't want to commit to a school as a running back and then be moved to fullback when I get there."
Hughes has scholarship offers from Illinois, Purdue, Virginia, Michigan and Oklahoma State. He's been to junior days at Michigan, Illinois, Purdue, Iowa and most recently Ohio State.
"Ohio State was real cool," Hughes explained. "They didn't offer me a scholarship but the coaches talked to me about Chris Wells and where I would fit in. Ohio State is a great place. The stadium and facilities were incredible.
"Out of all the junior days, I'd say that Ohio State has been the most impressive so far.
"The scholarship offer that I'd say I'm waiting on the most right now would be Notre Dame. Iowa is another school that I hope offers.
"I also would like to hear more from Miami and LSU. My favorites are Ohio State, Notre Dame, Michigan, Purdue, Illinois, Iowa, Virginia and Miami." Hughes is scheduled to attend the Scout.com All-American Combine at the University of Iowa on April 22nd.
Hughes rushed for 1,920 yards and 19 touchdowns as a junior and was named all-state.
