Bro. Rice LB Colasanti: Two More Offers

Michigan's Chris Colasanti remains one of the hottest linebacker prospects in the Midwest. The 6-foot-2, 230-pounder, from Brother Rice high in Bloomfield Hills received offers this past week from a couple of Pac-10 schools.

Chris Colasanti Profile

Michigan's Chris Colasanti received offers this past week from a couple of Pac-10 schools and he also got the chance to see his idol work out at Ohio State.

"I had an incredible time at the Ohio State Pro Day." Chris Colasanti said.

"A.J. Hawk is like my idol and to get a chance to work-out and then to have a chance to talk to him, was something special.

"A.J. ran a 4.38 forty and Bobby Carpenter ran a 4.5. Bobby Carpenter was the biggest linebacker I've ever seen. A.J. Hawk was a really nice guy. It was a great visit. We took a tour of the academic center and we went over to the stadium. It was all good."

Arizona State and UCLA offered Colasanti a scholarship this week. We asked Chris how the Sun Devils and Bruins found a talented linebacker from Michigan.

"Arizona State offered my teammate, Darris Sawtelle, and our coach (Al Fracassa) told them to look at me on film. I think it might have been a few days later and I got the scholarship offer from them (Arizona State).

"Coach (Chuck) Bullough from UCLA used to be at Western Michigan and that's how he knew about Darris (Sawtelle) and I. We both have offers from UCLA now as well.

"The new offers haven't changed anything as far as favorites are concerned. Penn State, Notre Dame, Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State, Boston College and Stanford are still my top schools."

Colasanti had 153 tackles and four sacks as a junior. He was an all-state selection. Chris is scheduled to be in Iowa City on April 22nd for the All-American Combine.
