Top West Coast OL Interested in U-M recently reported that offensive lineman Javario Burkes of Moon Valley High School in Phoenix, Ariz., received an offer from Michigan. spoke Monday with the talented prospect to see if he is considering making a visit to Ann Arbor.

Washington State was the most recent offer for offensive lineman Javario Burkes of Moon Valley High School in Phoenix, Ariz. According to Burkes, that brings his total number of offers to 22-23. Last week it was reported that he received an offer from the University of Michigan. "Coach (Andy) Moeller called my coach and told them I had an offer," he said. "I like Michigan and may try to get back there for camp. Coach Moeller wanted me to come back for a Junior Day but I couldn't make it."

The 6-foot-6, 320-pound Burkes doesn't list any favorites though Georgia, the first to offer, is high on his list. "I'm planning on going there for one of their Junior Days," he said. "Georgia and Tennessee are recruiting me the hardest right now." He added that he as attended Junior Days at Arizona and Arizona State. He said would attend the Nike combine at USC, and that his team will attend a camp at Fresno State.

However, it could be tough if West Coast powerhouse USC jumps into the picture. "I'm getting a lot of contact from them, but no offer yet," he said. "I really haven't spoken to them about why they haven't offered, but if they do I might go ahead and commit."

If an offer from the Trojans doesn't materialize, the big man said he would take all of his visits and decide sometime after his football season. "I just want to wait out my offers and see what happens," he said.

Burkes also plays center for the Moon Valley basketball team, and reports one offer for hoops. "Stanford is the only school that has offered me for basketball," he said.
