Arkansas OL to Receive U-M Offer

The Wolverines are among the latest to target Rogers, Ark., offensive lineman Lee Ziemba. The 6-6, 285-pound Ziemba said he will be calling Ann Arbor sometime today.

Lee Ziemba has become a hot commodity as college coaches are receiving his highlight film. The offensive lineman has received two new scholarship offers.

"Michigan and Kansas State," Ziemba said from Rogers, (Ark.) are the two new offers received Wednesday.

"I'm very honored. I hadn't heard much from either school. I guess my coach just sent out my films and my cell number to a bunch of schools."

Ziemba will receive the two new wrtten offers in the mail in the next few days. He received messages from the college coaches, and he has an exciting day ahead.

"I'm supposed to call tomorrow to talk to Coach [Lloyd] Carr himself," Ziemba said. "That's pretty exciting. I tried calling the coach at Kansas State after school and got no answer."

When asked the main factor for his decision Ziemba replied, "Where I feel like is home. I'm going to be praying hard in the next couple of months."

Ziemba will have a very busy summer schedule as he plans his calendar before his senior year. Several schools are slated for unofficial visits.

"I'm going to try and visit all of them that have offered along with Florida and Clemson because they have asked me to come to the campus to get an offer," he said.

His family will travel the summer circuit as well. When asked who will go along for the cross-country excursion, "My mom, dad and sister Rosalynn," Ziemba said.

A time-frame for his decision was discussed if he'll know his college choice once he returns home from the summer unofficial visits.

"I'm going to try, but if I'm not totally sure I'm going to wait it out," he said. "That is worst case though. I don't want to commit and de-commit and commit again."

Most parents are supportive with their star athlete's decision, and Ziemba has a great supporting cast.

"My mom is really big about the coaching staff--making sure they will take care of me," he said.
