Jerimy Finch Takes in Michigan Spring Game

Top safety Jerimy Finch of Warren Central High School in Indianapolis is getting very familiar with the Michigan campus. He made yet another visit to Ann Arbor on Saturday to take in the Michigan Spring Game. GoBlueWolverine.com spoke with Finch about the visit, and his plans.

The head coach at Warren Central High School in Indianapolis recently told Scout.com that his star safety, Jerimy Finch, would most likely head to a warm-weather school. Finch said he grew up a fan of the University of Florida, yet does not have an offer from the Gators at this time.

He does, however, report 10 offers, one of which is from the University of Michigan. Finch was in Ann Arbor on Saturday to take in the final Wolverine spring practice. "I've been up there about five times," he said. "The Spring Game was fun and I got to see where I would fit in with what they are doing up there. I had a chance to talk to Coach (English) while I was there, and some of the players."

Finch said he does not have a leader at this time, and is focusing on his conditioning. He said he would like to play safety in college, and Michigan is looking at him for the position. "I've known Coach English since before he became defensive coordinator, and I like him a lot," Finch said. "He's a pretty intense guy but easy to talk to."

The 6-foot-2, 200-pound Finch said he would attend the Nike combine at Ohio State, but hadn't decided on which school summer camps he will visit. He said he'd like to make a decision sometime during his senior season. "I'd like to take my visits before I decide," he said.
