U-M to Face N.C. State in B-10/ACC Challenge

The University of Michigan Men's Basketball team will square off against North Carolina State on Nov. 27 in the eighth annual ACC/Big Ten Challenge, the Big Ten announced today.

The Wolverines will travel to Raleigh to take on the North Carolina State Wolfpack in the opening game of the 2006 ACC/Big Ten Challenge. Game time is set for 7 p.m. Eastern and will be televised on ESPN2. U-M prevailed over N.C. State 68-61 in their last Challenge meeting in 2003.

Michigan is coming off a 22-11 season, 8-8 in the Big Ten, and a NIT Tournament final appearance. The Wolverines looked to be heading to the NCAA Tourney before disappointing losses to Indiana to finish the regular season, and Minnesota in the first-round of the Big Ten Tournament sent them to the NIT for the second time in three years.
