Jerimy Finch: Solid Wolverine Lead

With offers from Georgia Tech, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, West Virginia, Louisville, Virginia Tech, Purdue, Iowa and his latest, Arkansas, Warren Central High School safety Jerimy Finch (6-2, 200, 4.6), of Indianapolis (Ind.), has remained tight-lipped about a possible front-runner—until now. This is no 'homer site fav' -- SuperPrep gets the story.

Jerimy Finch Profile

"Michigan is my favorite," Finch revealed. "I'd say they have a solid lead right now. They have been recruiting me the hardest. The campus is about four hours away, so I've been there the most—about five times now. I went to their junior day and to the spring game. That was really fun. Coach (Mike) DeBord and I talk all the time. He said I have a good chance of starting early there. Coach (Lloyd) Carr and Coach DeBord came to my school on Tuesday. I really like the great relationships the coaches have with all the players…everyone on the team gets along really well. They seem to be more involved in everything with the players, not just football. I'm hoping to graduate early, so if I decide to go there, I can be ready for spring ball."

Arkansas is the latest school to offer the four-star defender. "I got the offer from them on Monday. I really wasn't expecting it. I haven't talked to them yet, but I have text messaged them. I don't know much about the program yet, but I am interested in finding out more about them. I haven't decided if I'll take a visit there yet or not.

"I think my biggest strength is my vision. I'm able to see the field really well. I can see where the other team's planning on going before the ball is even snapped…I guess I have good instincts. I think the biggest thing I need to work on is my speed. I want to get my 40 time down."

Final junior (14-1) stats: 95 tackles/10 interceptions/five forced fumbles/three fumble recoveries

Bench: 295/power clean: 260

Finch's core GPA in unreported and he awaits May SAT results.
