Jon Ditto Profile
Gateway head coach Terry Smith (GBW note: and stepdad of Nitany Lion Justin King) informed us that his talented tight end Jon Ditto picked up a big offer this week. The offer came from a perennial Big Ten power who has an excellent history with flex-tight ends/H-Backs.
"Michigan assistant Scott Loeffler came in this week and offered him as an H-Back," Terry Smith said. "He has somewhere between 20-30 offers now."
Smith, also informed us that a decision is likely pending next month.
The favorites I think were Penn State and Pitt, but this new one from Michigan caught his eye," Smith said.
"He is planning on announcing in June, but we haven't set up a date or time yet."
(GBW note: Ditto attended the Michigan-Purdue game last fall. The 6-4, 215-pounder has 4.6 speed, and as a junior caught 29 passes for 508 yards and five touchdowns, earning second team Class AAAA Associated Press All-State and third team PA Football News All-State. He will now jump into the GoBLueWolverine Best Guess List -- fast. )
