UM Likely Among Gilchrist's Camp Stops

High Point (NC) corner Marcus Gilchrist will be tripping to a number of schools in the coming weeks. He has yet to come up with a definitive list, but Ann Arbor is expected to be one of his destinations.

Marcus Gilchrist has seen his offer list continue its march toward twenty in recent weeks, but the window of opportunity for interested programs appears to be slowly closing. The four-star corner informed GoBlueWolverine that he has settled on a top five of North Carolina, Clemson, Georgia, Virginia Tech, and Notre Dame. He also indicated the a few other programs, including Michigan, remain in the running.

Though the Wolverine finds themselves off of Gilchrist's top list of schools, it has not deterred their interest. Defensive coordinator Ron English has continues to make the two-way star a priority.

"He came to the school and we've talked a few times since," Gilchrist said regarding English. "He talks mostly to my parents."

The Maize and Blue's persistence will likely earn them a campus visit next week.

"I'm going to camp a few places, but I'm not going to actually do anything," said Gilchrist. "I'm probably going to go to schools while their camps are going on. I'm not sure which schools I'm going to make it by, but Michigan is one of the places I want to try and really hit."

GoBlueWolverine will check back will Gilchrist after camp concludes next week.
