Dave Molk Profile

Michigan offered you a scholarship at camp?

"Yeah, Well I talked to Andy Moeller a while before camp and said he they were going to offer me and then they officially offered me at camp."

Where you excited about Michigan's offer?

"Yes, I was very excited, Michigan is a great offer to have. Michigan is a great school and a great football school."

Talk about your camp experience ... who did you talk to, etc?

"I only participated in one camp session, the rest of the day I got a tour of campus and talked to Ryan Mallett and Ryan VanBergen."

What D-lineman impressed you the most at Michigan camp?

"No one really, I beat them all."

Where else have you camped this summer, or are you going to?

"I went to a Scout.com combine, the Notre Dame day camp and the rest were unofficial visit but I probably won't go to any more camps. I might go out to Arizona."

So you camped at Notre Dame before Michigan. And you visited West Virginia and Wisconsin after after you left Michigan. And you visited Michigan State and Northwestern in the spring, and Iowa as well. Which visits did you like the best?

"Every school I've been to has been good, no school will be bad for me. I really like the O-Line coach from Michigan, we work together really well. And I liked the strength training coach from West Virginia. I also liked the S&C coach from Michigan State."

Where do things stand for you?

"Michigan is definitely one of my top schools, but I haven't really narrowed down a top five yet. I'm kind of taking it slow."

Note: it can be assumed that those are his top schools at this early point may be, in no order, Michigan, Iowa, Wisconsin, West Virginia and Michigan State which was the first school to offer him in the spring.

What is your timetable?

"I am going to try and make a decision before my season starts so I can have that done with."

GBW Note: similar to Wolverine David Moosman, Molk is not tall (he's 6-1, altho his mom told us he was liable to grow a couple more inches), but he is strong and quick, a wrestler-type. For GBW's interview with his mom, click HERE.
