Mitchell Schwartz Back from LM Camp

Mitchell Schwartz hasn't done any summer camps because he and his fellow Pacific Palisades linemen all went to Stockton for a lineman camp this past week. GoBlueWolverine caught up with the big guy when he returned home.

GoBlueWolverine spoke to Mitchell Schwartz (6-6, 300) from Parific Palisades Charter High School.

How did the lineman camp in Stockton go?

"It went well. It was an individual camp but all our lineman went down ... I won all my contests at the pass blocking stations."

Do you have an updated offer list?

"Michigan, Stanford, Virginia, Tennessee, Washington State, and Oregon -- those are all big schools that I would like to have offers from. I would still like to hear from Notre Dame, USC, and Miami but I think they would like to see some of this next season's film before the offer."

Where have you been so far for unofficial visits, and are you going to make it to Michigan in August?

"I have already seen Stanford and Oregon. But right now the only other visit this summer would be Michigan in August -- but we start summer practice in August so it will be tricky trying to find time so that I won't miss any practice."

Will you be making any official visits in the fall?

"Any out of state schools that I like, I will be going back for an official visit ... hopefully for a game."

Would you say that Michigan is your leader?

"No, not yet. I really don't have any top schools figured out yet. I really need to take a visit to Michigan, see the campus, and meet all the coaches first."

Do you have a top five?

"I don't really have a top school or top three. I'm really trying to figure that out now, but I need to visit the out of state schools to meet the coaches and see the campuses. After that I'll be able to narrow it down a little more."

Schwartz is also a top student' sporting a 4.0 GPA and a 29 ACT (will retake).
