Six-foot-six, 285-pound offensive lineman Matt Romine from Tulsa, Oklahoma, Union, is arguably one of the nation's top five tackle prospects. He just did the first leg of his only summer visit tour this week -- to Notre Dame and Michigan. GoBlueWolverine caught up with the big guy on Sunday afternoon.

How was your visit to Michigan this weekend?

"It went really well. I was there all day Friday. Coach Moeller took me around campus all day and I got to see the new academic building, which was real nice, and then through all the football facilities. The football facilities rank right up there, some were okay and some were great. Going into the Big House was amazing, I've always watched games and heard how amazing it was and then I got to see for myself.

"I also got to talk to Coach Carr for a long time. We talked a lot of football. I also met the strength and conditioning coach, Coach Gittleson, he is a really cool guy. Michigan is a bigger campus than the others I'm looking at but that's not a negative against it.

"I'm also looking into a business major so I met with an advisor in the Business school."

What other schools are you interested in?

"I don't have a top five yet. Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Arkansas, Tennessee, Alabama, Texas A&M, and Texas Tech are a few of them."

How did your visit to Notre Dame go?

"I was there on Thursday, and I got the full treatment. I had been there twice before but this time it was more relaxed. I got to meet a lot the of the players and had lunch with them. That was real cool."

How does Michigan and Notre Dame compare for you?

"They both have their positives and negatives, right now I haven't picked a top school yet."

Do you have a top five yet?

"Not yet. I'm waiting to take a few more visits, and then narrow it down to my top five, that I want to take officials to, sometime before the season starts. Two-a-days start back up August 8th, so sometime before then."

What other visits are you making this summer?

"I'm leaving for Alabama and Tennessee tomorrow, and those are my last two."

What's your decision timetable look like?

" I want to wait until I've taken all five of my official visits before I decide -- later in the season."
