PA. OT/TE Andrew Devlin Waits a Week

Pittsburgh offensive tackle Andrew Devlin has offers from all his favorites except the school he likes the most. He did not attend Saturday's Junior Day because his visit was postponed a week ... but he'll be visiting next weekend -- is an offer in the offing?

Michigan fans were expecting one of Saturday's Junior Day visitors to be 6-foot-6, 250 pound OT/TE prospect Andrew Devlin from Pittsburgh Mt. Lebanon. However, different plans were made by him and the U-M coaches, as he and his mother told GoBlueWolverine Sunday.

Did Andrew visit Michigan Saturday?

Mrs. Devlin responds, "Well the coaches said that there weren't enough coaches in this past weekend for us to visit (for apersonal tour), so we are going to make arrangements to visit next weekend."

Andrew chimes in:

"I'm hoping to get up there next weekend. When I talked to Coach Loeffler, he said it would be in my best interest to get over there and visit."

Andrew, what position are they recruiting you to play?

"Either a tight end or a tackle. I don't mind playing either one; whichever one I'm better at."

What are your top five schools?

"My top five are Michigan, Virginia, Pittsburg, Boston College, and (in 5th place) Wisconsin. And I've visited them all, and all have offered me, except Michigan."

When do you plan to make your decision?

"On August 13th, the day before my fall practice starts back up."

Wolverine fans may remember that a week ago he told us, "If Michigan offered me they'd be my leader." Stay tuned to see what develops with the top student/athlete (1850 SAT).
