GoBlueWolverine caught up with Chicago running back Robert Hughes ... he'd slowed down since he was, "... really tired from football practice." We asked him about the latest regarding Michigan.
When are you planning on visiting Michigan?
"I just called and talked to Coach Moeller (U-M's recruiter for Illinois) the other day. I still do hope I can get up there before school starts ... but school is just around the corner so I don't have much more time. Getting a ride for the four hour trip is the issue for me really."
Do you have a Michigan official visit set up yet?
"No. Not yet. I'm going to be setting one up with Michigan soon though, but I'm not sure when."
Do you have any other officials set up?
"Yes. I have one set up with Ohio State for December 1st. And that's it so far."
Hughes has been to Notre Dame and Illinois recently ... these (Notre Dame, Illinois, OSU and U-M) may be his top schools in the end ... way back at the U.S. Army Combine he said that U-M, Notre Dame and OSU would definitely make his top five.
Hughes is one of those guys who may be influenced by the outcome of the Michigan-Notre Dame game ... along with fellow Chicagoan DE Martez Wilson and Calif. CB Michael Williams ... all three will certainly be at the game as ND guests, with Williams on his official visit there.
