Kenneth Hemingway Picks Michigan

South Carolina wide receiver J.R. Hemingway went on local television this (Thursday) afternoon -- and picked the Michigan Wolverines as his college choice.

The Athletic Department at Conway told us to call them at 3:10, and when we did, we were told:

"J.R. has just made his announcement -- and it's Michigan!"'s no. 95 prospect chose the Wolverines over South Carolina, Miami, Florida and Notre Dame.

The 6-1 1/2, 200 lb. wide receiver was a Michigan Camper a year ago, in June of 2005, and the Wolverines have been a favorite of his ever since.

Hemingway is a strong receiver with better than good speed (4.5 sec. 40) and great leaping ability (near 40-inch vertical jump).

Hemingway will be catching passes at Michigan from fellow Top-100 prospect, Texas quarterback Ryan Mallett (no. 17). Michigan also has two other Top 100 recruits in it's 2006-07 recruiting class so far: Indiana safety Jerimy Finch (no. 45), and Illinois offensive lineman Dave Molk (no. 91).
