Pacific Palisades (Calif.) offensive tackle Mitchell Schwartz just got back from his unofficial visit to Michigan at 10 PM PDT last night. GoBlueWolverine spoke to him this morning about the three-day visit.
How did your visit go?
"It was a really good visit. I liked seeing the campus. The new academic building is gorgeous."
"It was a really positive visit."
"Coach Moeller (the Michigan offensive line coach) drove me around campus a little bit. And I got to meet with Coach Carr."
"But (recruiting coordinator) Chris Singletary took me around mostly."
"I got a tour of the facilities and of campus."
"Then my dad and I spent yesterday (Sunday) just walking around Ann Arbor."
What impression did you come away with?
"I really got a feel for what the Michigan coaches are looking for in an offensive lineman."
"And The Big House is awesome; I really want to see it on a game day."
How does this visit effect final five?
"Since this was my last unofficial visit, all my schools are pretty much equal right now."
The 4.0/29 student has also been to Stanford (recruiting the hardest), Cal, Oregon (where his brother plays) and Virginia ... Tennessee and WSU have also offered.
"I'll sit down with my parents, and we'll figure out the positives and negatives of each school and decide on my five official visits."
"The as far as a final decision, I'll see how things are after the first few official visits."
