Video Road Trip V: Caper, Reynolds & White

Each and every week, GoBlueWolverine will hit the road and travel to various high schools across the Midwest. We made two trips in week three, and the second leg of our trek took us to Battle Creek (MI) to check out three talented prospects in action; sophomore RB (and Michigan camp standout) Larry Caper, senior fullback Brandon Reynolds and senior DT Rashad White.

Some notes on Caper… We reported at camp that Caper was about 6'2, 190. He is listed at 5'11, 185 and that appears to be a little closer to his actual size. Still, he is solidly built, especially considering his age. He is a slasher, a guy with great lateral agility and reported 4.41 speed. He is also a good blocker and pass receiver out of the backfield. The kid has it all. Expect him to be a big time in-state recruit in a couple years.

Reynolds is powerful and a strong short yardage back. With Vince Helmuth on board, it may be tough for him to get an offer unless he shows some ability at linebacker. He'll make some team very happy though as he is an ideal lead blocker and goal line type ball carrier.

Another name to watch is senior DT Rashad White. He was in the opposing backfield almost all night. He also showed great hustle and movement for a bigger guy. He stands 6'3, 320 lbs. Surprising he's so under the radar, but we'll track his progress as the season rolls along.
