Michael Williams Watches "The Game"

Ventura St. Bonnies CB Michael Williams is one of Michigan's top two cornerback recruits (along with instater Ronald Johnson). With Notre Dame and Michigan as his top two, or at least two of his top three, GoBlueWolverine was interested in his reaction to "The Game."

Cornerback Michael Williams (5-11, 190), Scout.com's #56 prospect, is looking hard at two Midwestern schools to play his college ball: Notre Dame and Michigan.

Did you watch the Michigan versus Notre Dame game?

"Of course! It was a really great game."

"The outcome suprised me ... but I liked it."

Does this win for Michigan affect your decision?

"No ... but it sure will help."

It has always been assumed that Williams may be leaning to Notre Dame slightly over Michigan - his coach has stated this publically - so "The Game" could only have helped U-M's cause with him.

Also, Williams had talked about coming to U-M for the MSU game on Oct. 7, but he has scheduled his official visit to Notre Dame that weekend, for the ND-Stanford game.

One other note: Although Notre Dame and Michigan have been the schools Williams has talked about the most, Texas may have jumped into the picture for him as well -- he was in Austin for the Texas - Ohio State game two weekends ago.
