Curtis Shaw Profile
Three-star running back Curtis Shaw (5-11, 190, 4.5) from Stockton Lincoln (Calif.) has carried the ball over 40 times for around 600 yards and six touchdowns. His team is 1-2.
"I'm not really focused on recruiting right now," Shaw said. "I won't even think about it or set up my visits until after my season is over. I want a school that will give me a good opportunity to play and showcase my skills."
Although he denies a favorite, Shaw likes Oregon, Michigan, Washington and Fresno State. They have all offered. Shaw attended the Fresno State/Oregon game and says that Pat Hill from Fresno State is the only head coach that he's talked to. "He's a good guy. We talked about my grades and my season," Shaw said. "We also talked about the Oregon game and how he feels that they should have won that game. He said they made too many costly mistakes.
"Oregon has really good coaches too," Shaw said. "They are always a top ranked team and play really hard all the time.
"I'm pretty impressed with what coach Tyrone Willingham has done at Washington. He's a great coach and the team is full of potential. They play hard and really give him a lot of effort."
Another school that Shaw is impressed with is Michigan. "They have a chance of making a high bowl game this year. They look really good and have a pretty strong team."
He reports a 2.4 GPA and a 66 composite ACT score. He will be taking the SAT in October.
