Drew Davis Profile

Four-Star wide receiver Drew Davis (6-2, 205, 4.5) from Denver Montbello (Colo.) has caught 15 receptions for 340 yards and six touchdowns in five games. His team is currently 1-4.

Davis favors Washington and Oregon slightly over UCLA, Michigan and Colorado. All of his favorites have offered. "Oregon and Washington are both doing really well this season," Davis said. "Oregon got that big win over Oklahoma and they look really good. They play hard and I love how everything is clicking for them. Their quarterback and receivers are looking great.

"Washington had a nice comeback win against UCLA and it's just nice to see them doing well again after the season they had last year," Davis said. "Plus, they got some big-time recruits coming in so they'll be even better. Last year they signed one of the top quarterbacks (Jake Locker), so that's really exciting for a receiver like me.

"UCLA is going to be improving too," Davis said. "They have a great coaching staff and I really like their tight ends coach, John Wristen. I've known him for a while because he used to be at Colorado and we have a great relationship. He tells me that the campus and education are first-rate and that it's also a fun social environment. It sounds like they have everything you're looking for in program. I just need to see what it's like in person."

Davis has scheduled an official visit to Colorado for this coming weekend (October 7) and Michigan on October 21. "Colorado needs help and they've been after me very hard," Davis said. "They think I could really help them turn things around and they also think that if I committed there I'd be able to help their in-state recruiting as well."

The Wolverines have also impressed Davis this season. "They are spreading the ball around a lot this year and their receivers are making a lot of big plays."

Davis says he plans to take his official visits before deciding. "I want a school that feels like home," Davis said. "I want to have fun and feel like I really fit in and belong."

He reports a 4.0 GPA and an 18 ACT score.
