Stephen Wisniewski Sets Michigan Visit

GoBlueWolverine spoke to the father of Pittsburgh Central Catholic offensive guard Stefen Wisniewski. Stefen has taken two of his official visits, and the Army All American has his final two lined up, including Michigan.

Stefen Wisniewski is a 6-3, 280 pound offensive guard prospect from Pittsburgh Central Catholic. He camped for a day at the Michigan Camp this summer, and is one of U-M's top O-line recruits -- as well as having been chosen to play in the U.S. Army All American game this coming January.

Wisniewski has already made official visits to Boston College and North Carolina, and has his other two finalists, Penn State and Michigan coming up soon. Stefen had been thinking of visiting U-M this weekend for the MSU game, but his father gave GoBlueWolverine the latest.

"Stefen has to talk to the Michigan coaches to make sure, but it looks like he'll be making his official visit to Michigan the weekend of Oct. 21st, for the Iowa game."

"He will be at Penn State for his official visit there on the 14th, so he'll get to see Michigan then too."

The Wisniewskis have been following the Wolverine's season so far this year.

"Michigan is doing well, they're looking good."

"Michigan has an explosive offense, much like Ohio State. Our defense (Penn State's, Mr. Wisniewski played DL for the Nitany Lions) played pretty well against Ohio State, then kind of let down a little at the end."

Central Catholic is a traditional Pennsylvania powerhouse, and they are doing well once again this season, Mr. Wisniewski told us.

"Central Catholic is 4-1; they had a 17-14 loss to their big rival, Woodland Hills, a week ago. They were without their starting tailback, but he'll be back for the playoffs."

Wisniewski is taking all his official visits - four - during the season because he is considering graduating in December and entering college in January.
