There has been one more mighty shoe remaining to drop regarding Super Quarterback Prospect Ryan Mallett:
Would the big signalcaller graduate in December and enroll at Michigan early?
As recently as the Hebstreit Challange two weeks ago Mallett had told GoBlueWolverine, "I'm still thinking about whether to graduate in December. I do have all my credits ..."
After is official visit this weekend, however, his "thinking about it" has come to fruition. He told GBW:
"Yes, it's all lined up. I'm enrolling in January."
"I talked to Coach Loeffler about it and he's in favor of it too."
GBW assumes that, especially now that he'll get the '07 spring practice under his belt, that Mallett will quite possibly not redshirt next season.
As far as Mallett-the-recruiter, he certainly did his job this past weekend on his official visit. He was spotted squiring around all the receiver recruits in for the weekend -- Toney Clemons, Zion Babb, Martell Webb, and Markques Simas ... and he knew when he left that he'd helped land Clemons and Babb (click HERE for our previous story on Mallett on Sunday). Even Simas might well have picked Michigan ... but we'll see if the Wolverines are done with wideouts now; GBW assumes they likely are.
