Brandon Herron told GoBlueWolverine:
"I committed to Michigan today, at my school! At exactly 11:05 AM!"
"Coach Jackson (U-M RB Coach Fred Jackson, U-M's East Texas recruiter) came in today, with three other coaches. He told me he wanted me to accept a scholarship from Michigan."
"I told him -- I accept!"
"They were all very happy and said, 'You're a Wolverine now!'"
We asked Herron what position he played this year for Dulles, and what position he'll be playing for Michigan:
"I started out a linebacker this year, and then moved to defensive end. I just play wherever my coach wants me to. I was first team All-District as a defensive end."
GoBlueWolverine note: part of the reason Herron has not gotten too much recruiting notice is that he has been a versatile jack-or-all-trades for Dulles -- playing running back and wide receiver on offense, and linebacker and defensive end on defense.
But the true 6-1 1/2, 210 pound Herron added:
"Coach Jackson told me I'll be a SAM linebacker at Michigan."
Herron turned down an offer from Oklahoma State to become the latest Wolverine.
