U-M Visitor #11 For This Weekend - Another OL

A Tennessee offensive tackle visited Michigan State this past weekend, and the big guy is turning around and coming back up to the Great Lakes State with his parents to visit Michigan this weekend as well.

GoBlueWolverine spoke Wednesday night to offensive tackle Jared McGaha, a 6-foot-6, 270-pounder form Powell, Tennessee (in the Knoxville area). He told us:

"I had just gotten home from my Michigan State visit on Sunday when the phone rang and it was Coach Stripling from Michigan. He asked me if I'd like to visit Michigan this coming weekend. I said yes I would!"

"Right after we hung up the phone rang again and it was Coach Moeller from Michigan. He's coming in to see me tomorrow (Thurs.) and talk to my mom and dad and me."

"So we are driving up next Friday for an official visit -- my mom, dad and me."

We asked him -- what if Michigan offers you a scholarship?

"If a Michigan offer comes through -- that would take me aback."

"If Michigan offers me -- well, I'd love to play for Michigan."

We asked McGaha to talk about himself as a player.

"I'm a left tackle."

"The strength of my game is that I'm fast (5.2 sec. 40), I have good balance and agility, and I play with heart."

And as far as who has offered him so far:

"I have offers from Michigan State, Illinois, Cincinnati, Middle Tennessee, Marshall and Akron."
