Choosing a college for a top high school football player is a difficult decision. That is the task that Muskegon, Mich. Super CB/WR Ronald Johnson is faced with. Ron is in the process of visiting those colleges to find out a little more about them. Ronald had a chance to visit Michigan last weekend which is one of the schools high on his list. Ronald told us:
"I had a good time at Michigan it was real cool. My host was my teammate from high school Terrence Taylor."
Terrence gave the young man some advice concerning his recruitment. "Terrence told me to take all of my visits and to make sure that I made my own decision about where I will attend college."
Last night, Johnson said, "Pete Carroll (the coach of USC) came to visit at my home," and he said the visit went well. He will be visiting USC on December 15. He will be visiting Florida and then Ohio State sometime in January. A decision to choose a college will be made, "shortly after that."
What is most important to Ronald when choosing a college? "The academic support I will receive there.I also want to know about playing time," and his chances to start right away. So Ronald Johnson will be busy for sometime now as he continues to figure out what college he will attend.
However, Michigan's coaching staff has made an impression on him and he told us, "Out of all the schools right now I am closest to the Michigan staff."
He has been to Michigan quite often so it should come as no surprise that he had a good visit at Michigan. One thing for certain though, he will continue to take his visits.
